Strongpoints®

StrongPoints® is a defining element of the Meredith College experience and a signature initiative designed to help students discover who they are, how they thrive, and where they are headed. Through a strengths-based and holistic approach, students explore their talents, interests, values, and goals while building the skills needed for lifelong personal and professional success.

Grounded in positive psychology and student development, StrongPoints® helps students connect their strengths to four key areas of growth: academic success, career readiness, experiential engagement, and financial well-being. Students work with faculty, staff, and certified strengths coaches to identify opportunities, navigate challenges, and make intentional decisions that align with their goals and values.

Students begin by identifying their strengths through a research-based assessment tool, CliftonStrengths, and continue developing those strengths throughout their time at Meredith through coaching, classroom experiences, workshops, campus programs, leadership opportunities, and experiential learning.

StrongPoints® is designed to help students:

  • Increase self-awareness and confidence;
  • Build meaningful connections with faculty, staff, and peers;
  • Develop strategies for academic, personal, and professional success;
  • Strengthen teamwork, communication, and leadership skills;
  • Create practical financial and career plans for the future;
  • Connect their strengths to purposeful involvement and career pathways;
  • Graduate with the confidence and skills needed for lifelong success.

StrongPoints® also supports Meredith College’s mission of educating and inspiring students to live with integrity and provide leadership for the needs, opportunities, and challenges of society by helping students broaden their perspectives, enhance their strengths, and prepare for lifelong success..
